Typocopter

The following contractual terms and conditions apply to all services by Typocopter GbR that every customer agrees to when purchasing typefaces on typocopter.com.

All typefaces offered on typocopter.com are developed by Typocopter GbR. They are provided in three forms of font software for either desktop, web or app use (for further details see § 2).

All typefaces provided by Typocopter GbR come as encrypted font software which when used properly may be used by the customer in compatible application programs.

Desktop licence

The desktop licence is restricted to the use of font software on the agreed number of computers (CPUs) owned by the customer. The agreed number is stated on the invoice.

Multiple use on different CPUs owned by the customer is simultaneously possible up to the agreed number of CPUs. The licence has to be upgraded in case the customer requires use of additional CPUs.

The customer ensures that in case of making the font software available in a local network it is not used simultaneously by more CPUs than agreed on purchase.

Converting desktop font software for web or app use is prohibited.

Web licence

The web licence is restricted to the use of font software on all domains owned by the customer. The anticipated monthly page traffic stated by the customer is to be upgraded in case of increasing page visits on the most-visited domain. The customer assures the truthfulness of the stated traffic and agrees to submit evidence (e.g. screenshot of server data analyses) if instructed.

Typefaces for web use are provided for self-hosting purpose, which means the inclusion of the typeface on the customer's website via CSS (Cascading Style Sheets). The customer assures that the font software is stored unrecognisable on the host's server. The customer is not entitled to post a download link to the font software. It must not be possible for a third party to directly copy or download the font software. It is only permitted to integrate the web font in the designated web domain.

Converting web font software for desktop or app use is prohibited.

Trial licence

The trial licence is restricted to testing purposes only. The use for commercial or personal public projects is prohibited. Using the font software for a project requires the purchase of a respective licence.

Student licence

The student licence is restricted to non-commercial, study related purposes only. The use for commercial or personal public projects is prohibited. Using the font software for a commercial or personal public project requires the purchase of a respective licence.

Valid for all licence forms

The customer may save a backup copy of the font software to an external data carrier. The font software is not to be stored on a public server.

In all cases, we provide buyers of the purchased font software a single, i.e. non-exclusive, product use right to the software. The duration and territorial scope of this product use right are unlimited. Duplication (excepting the backup copy), dissemination, and any provision of public access, are prohibited.

The font software must not be altered, edited, modified, partitioned, reformatted, converted or renamed. It is prohibited to research or copy the source code of the font software.

We shall be entitled to officially cancel the product use right in case the buyer violates the terms described under § 3.1.

Documents produced using the font software are to be distributed in read-only mode, as a preview, or as a print view, to make sure that no third party is able to extract the fonts and to use them for creating new documents.

Purchased licenses are not transferable to other companies or individuals.

On behalf of a client it is allowed to purchase a font software. The client must be registered as the licensee after the purchase, informed about this end user licence agreement, and provided with the invoice related to the purchase. The agreement has to be accepted by the client.

Every effort has been taken to create the font software to the highest standards. Under no circumstances will the supplier be liable for any consequential, indirect, punitive, incidental or special damages to the customer including any lost data, lost profits or lost savings. All font software installed is done at the customer's own risk.

Without prior consent or notice we keep the right to update this agreement at any time. You acknowledge that you have read, understood and agreed to be bound by the terms and conditions of this agreement.

Please don't use our font software in any racist, homophobic, sexist or other discriminating context.

At Typocopter, accessible from www.typocopter.com, one of our main priorities is the privacy of our visitors. This Privacy Policy document contains types of information that is collected and recorded by Typocopter and how we use it. If you have additional questions or require more information about our Privacy Policy, do not hesitate to contact us.

Typocopter follows a standard procedure of using log files. These files log visitors when they visit websites. All hosting companies do this and a part of hosting services' analytics. The information collected by log files include internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, Internet Service Provider (ISP), date and time stamp, referring/exit pages, and possibly the number of clicks. These are not linked to any information that is personally identifiable. The purpose of the information is for analyzing trends, administering the site, tracking users' movement on the website, and gathering demographic information.

You may consult this list to find the Privacy Policy for each of the advertising partners of Typocopter. Third-party ad servers or ad networks uses technologies like cookies, JavaScript, or Web Beacons that are used in their respective advertisements and links that appear on Typocopter, which are sent directly to users' browser. They automatically receive your IP address when this occurs. These technologies are used to measure the effectiveness of their advertising campaigns and/or to personalize the advertising content that you see on websites that you visit. Note that Typocopter has no access to or control over these cookies that are used by third-party advertisers.

Typocopter's Privacy Policy does not apply to other advertisers or websites. Thus, we are advising you to consult the respective Privacy Policies of these third-party ad servers for more detailed information. It may include their practices and instructions about how to opt-out of certain options. You can choose to disable cookies through your individual browser options. This Privacy Policy applies only to our online activities and is valid for visitors to our website with regards to the information that they shared and/or collect in Typocopter. This policy is not applicable to any information collected offline or via channels other than this website.
